This is typically how I do my makeup when I want my skin to look fresh and glowing. It doesn't always matter what foundation you use. If you want something overall more dewy, then by all means switch your foundation to something with a dewier finish. However, this works just as well with any foundation. It's all about adding shade & light by using darker and lighter shades on top of your typical foundation. To add extra "glow" or to reflect light, use a good highlighter -- cream or powder or both work well. A lot of you have recommended I try ECO Tools brushes in the past as they are affordable and nice quality and I have to say, I agree. Brushes can get pricey and I have a ton of high-end and affordable brushes that I use on a regular basis. I think we know by now that I'm not a brand snob.
