The final game of Group A between Brazil and Cameroon provided the perfect stage for Neymar to show why he was tipped to be one of the major players to watch this tournament. Cameroons defending has been questionable all tournament especially getting out of their half, and they gave a gift to Gustavo who beautifully played in Neymar to give the golden boy his third goal of the competition and the first of this game. However Cameroon hit back as Joel Matip, the centre back, continued his run forward and had a tap in after great resilience down the left from Cameroon. But Neymar was to bail out brazil again, capitalizing on another poor clearance to put him in front as the tournaments leading scorer.
