Canada's men's hockey team won the gold medal vs Sweden on the final day of the Olympics, capping off an unbeaten run and the second consecutive gold. Sweden was dealt a harsh blow when Nicklas Backstrom, 26 year old centre and star in the NHL, was ruled ineligible for failing a doping test via the IOC, though it was an element in his allergy medicine that he has been taking for seven years. Canada won 3-0. |
